RF Power Meter: This affordable hand held RF Power Meter takes the guesswork out of checking a transmitter's power performance. It even allows antenna comparison testing. Calibrated on all popular RF bands found in FPV and R/C modeling from 35MHz through 5.8GHz.

You don't have to put your FPV model in jeopardy due to poor transmitter power or bad antennas. This RF Power meter will help you resolve RF performance related issues.

The meter and supplied attenuator have SMA connectors. If the transmitter that is being tested has an RP-SMA then our SMA-016 adapter is required (not included).

Transmitter Testing
Use the supplied -30dB SMA attenuator and connect the meter to the transmitter (max 1W). The RF power output level is displayed directly on the integrated LCD display. Values displayed can be in milliwatts or dBm.

System Testing
Install in place of your A/V receiver with the transmitter at close range to measure the power level that your receiver will see. This includes the transmitter's power level, connector losses, antenna gain, and free space losses. Testing an aerial FPV system on the ground is much safer than testing while airborne.

Antenna Testing
Connect to a directional antenna and measure the actual radiation pattern. Or use the meter for field strength measurements and compare antenna gain on each of your antennas.

Warning! Always use an RF attenuator when connecting the power meter to a transmitter. The provided -30dB attenuator will safely protect it from transmitters that are up to 1 watt (1000mW). Higher power transmitters will need an additional attenuator. Failure to do this will damage the meter and void the warranty.
