5VDC Voltage Regulator (BEC), Switch-Mode Type
This Voltage Regulator accepts 6-23 VDC on its input and outputs 5VDC. DC-DC switching technology ensures it runs cool, even with maximum 3A loads. Does not need a heatsink.
It can be used as a radio control system BEC (battery eliminator circuit) or for other applications that need 5VDC. For example, it can be used to power a 5V CCD video camera from a 2S to 5S (2-5 cell) LiPO battery pack.
The DC input has 2-inch bare leads (Red wire = BAT+). The 6-inch long output cable has a 3-wire servo style connector, wired as follows:
White: Not Used
Red: +5VDC
Black: Ground
When used as a R/C receiver BEC, the 3-wire cable is plugged directly into the receiver's battery port.
