There are three common situations where this cable is required: (1) In installations where the primary battery or BEC frequently dips below approximately 4.5V, which causes a “reboot” of the eLogger system. (2) When using the GPS Expander on your eLogger with 8S (approximately 30V) packs or higher, the Battery Backup cable is required.
