The DPC-4210M micro CCD color video camera is VERY tiny (shown next to USA dime coin) but doesn't sacrifice video image quality. Its 1/4" Sony CCD is rated at 420 TV-lines.
The camera's small size is because the image processing circuitry has been remotely located in a separate cable interface module. This arrangement makes it easy to hide the camera in very small places.
For example, robot builders can mount the camera in the robot's eyes and place the cable interface in a more convenient place. Or for a really cool Ham ATV hat, hide the camera up in your baseball cap. Come on, it's small, so use your imagination and do something nifty with it!
The cable length between the camera head and cable interface is 20 inches (50cm) long. The RCA and power cables are 20 inches long too. The sensitive microphone is on a 30 inch (76cm) long cable.
