1280MHz Patch Antenna, +8dBi Custom Tuned
This compact patch antenna has been custom tuned for use on1280MHz. It works great on 1258MHz FPV systems too. It provides +8dBi gain and is linear polarized.

The antenna measures 8.5" square and is suitable for both indoor and weather protected outdoor applications. Supplied with a 36" (90cm) low loss coax feedline with SMA male plug.
  
The PAT-LC1288 antenna began as an L-Com RE1208P-SM. However, we disassemble it and replace the driven element with our own in-house designed patch panel. We don't just use tin snips to do this -- it's a completely new patch element that is custom produced for us to our specifications. Each modified antenna is performance tested too.

Why is the customization so important? Well, the stock L-COM RE1208P patch antenna has reduced performance when it is used on 1250MHz or 1280MHz. These frequencies are outside the unmodified antenna's intended frequency range. But our modified version fully restores the lost RF gain. Compared to the stock antenna, it's possible to experience nearly double the operating range in ideal environments!
